Pragma

Warm bare feet

Got tangled in cream sheets

For five long years.

In the meantime, the piano in the hall,

Never Played,

Became a table for a vase of tulips.

Then came the knock at the door.

    • Thanks everyone. Jez, In my crit I wrote about the transformation of beauty into practicality. I aimed to ironise it a little by adding in the tulips, another symbol of beauty. In a way, I hoped to transfer the idea that we are more than the sum of our parts. But all intentions are merely just that!
